Makeup of the Month // January

Back on my old blog I had a series called 'Makeup of the Month' where every month I would share the look and the makeup products I'd been wearing the most. Today I wanted to bring that back! Although most of my day to day looks are pretty similar in terms of style and shape, I do tend to mix up what products and colours I'm using, so although the looks aren't different enough to warrant dedicating a video to each time, I do think these are fun little posts to do and hopefully you can get some product recommendations or tip&tricks out of them!

Face » For my skin I've been wearing a combination of NARS Sheer Glow foundation in the shade Gobi and Benefit High Beam liquid highlighter. If you're a follower of my YouTube channel then you're probably sick of hearing about it by now, but they just look gorgeous together! It's just like wearing an illuminating primer. (A very expensive illuminating primer.) Honestly, I won't be repurchasing High Beam because I don't like it as a highlighter on myself, but that's the whole reason I've ended up using it in this way because I didn't want to waste it.

I'm still using the tarte park ave princess contour palette for bronzer, blush and highlight. But I've actually been using the eyeshadow Whoopie Pie from the Ciate Smokey Suedes Eye Palette for my contour. A little more about that palette below.

Eyes  » As always with the eyes I'm wearing approximately five thousand different eyeshadow shades. Starting with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, I used White Chocolate as a base colour, Milk Chocolate and Semi Sweet through my socket, and Triple Fudge to darken the crease (although I did this after applying the lid colour). Has anyone tried the other Chocolate Bar palettes? Do you like them? Do I need 'em?!

On the lid I wore Prosecco from the Ciate Smokey Suedes Eye Palette. Again, this is another product I haven't shut up about recently. It's just SO shimmery. Almost wet looking. Unfortunately it hasn't translated so well in the photos but if you check out my most recent videos, you'll be able to see it better.

Literally the only thing I've been wearing on my lips recently is Clueless by Colourpop. It's a liquid lipstick so it dries matte and generally stays in place for a long time. I want to do a post on my favourite liquid lipsticks from Colourpop so keep an eye out for that!
