Makeup of the Month // May

It's time for another Makeup of the Month post! This month was all about fresh dewy looking skin and smokey winged eye makeup for me. Have we talked about my dewy skin obsession yet? I think we should... It's getting serious.

tarte CC Undereye Corrector
Soap & Glory Kick Ass All is Calm Concealer
Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish BB Cream
Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer
tarte The Sculptor (2)
KleanColor 2in1 Lip & Cheek Balm (Chateau)
MUA Skin Define Hydro Powder
Illamasqua Beyond Powder (OMG)

My skin/base routine has never been a focus for me until recently. I've never really cared about what it looked like as long as it was 'flawless' so it was a good canvas that wouldn't draw any attention away from the rest of my makeup. Now I'm actually enjoying the process and trying new products instead of it just being a thing I feel like I have to get through before I can get on with the rest of my face. As you can see, I'm still loving the super dewy finish. It feels great leaving the house in the hot weather recently and not having to worry about whether I look oily or not...
BECAUSE THAT'S THE GOAL. Hurhurhur.

Avon Eyeshadow Primer
Lorac Pro Palette ↓
Top: Taupe /  Sable / Espresso / Lt Bronze + Illamasqua Beyond Powder (OMG)
Undereye: Taupe / Espresso / Black / Illamasqua Beyond Powder (OMG)
tarte Clay Pot Liner (Brown)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Stag)
Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara
Sweed Lashes (Linda Hallberg Edition)
Sigma Brow Duo (Dark) + Eyeko Tinted Brow Gel

For my eyes I've either been wearing them pretty toned down like in my Soft and Simple post, or smokey underneath the outer corner of the eye like this. I do my lid and liner on top first, then I smoke out the bottom of the wing and take it underneath the eye, getting lighter in tone as I get closer to the inner corner, then I connect the top and the bottom with Illamasqua Beyond Powder in OMG.

tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint (Swank)

This stuff is wicked for the days you're out of the house and don't want to be reapplying your lip product all day. It starts of quite strong and glossy, like in the photos, but gradually fades to a more matte soft pink tint. It's lovely.
