emmapickles.uk is owned, operated and written by me, Emma! All thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog are my own and always will be. The trust of my readers is important to me so here's some information I'd like you to know. If you have any further questions about this blog please don't hesitate to get in touch on my contact page.
This blog will often feature reviews of products and many of those products will have been sent to me by PR companies and brands for possible review and use, but with no obligation to post about them. Meaning just because a company sends me something to try, it is not guaranteed a feature on my blog or my YouTube channel. I will only ever feature products I think are worth talking about after I've taken the time to use them/get familiar with them. I won't waste your time with the rubbish products I'm sent. I will always let you know if an item has been sent to me.
Every now and then I will accept a sponsor opportunity on my blog or YouTube channel. 'Sponsored' means I am paid in exchange for exposure of a product - this could be a beauty product, film, or anything I feel fits in with my content. I only ever agree to sponsor opportunities after I test the product and decide if it is worth your time and mine. This is why sponsored posts are often positive since I wouldn't partner with a brand to promote a product I don't like. (I was a reader/viewer long before I was a creator so I know how much it sucks when people turn into a big sponsored mess and don't believe in the things they're trying to sell you.) These posts and videos will be clearly marked.
If there is a link marked with an asterisk (*) then it is an affiliate link. This means I get a percentage of any sales made through that link. That percentage changes from brand to brand but it's usually around 10%. This payment comes from the company and doesn't cost you any extra on your purchases.
Every now and then brands will set up coupon codes for me to offer my readers/viewers. Sometimes, sales made using these coupon codes will give me a percentage of the sale made (again, around 10%) at no expense to you. I will mark these codes with an asterisk (*) again to signify that I am making a profit from the sales, similar to affiliate links. Otherwise, I don't gain anything from you using those codes and they're there purely for your benefit.
Sometimes a link will have a suffix similar to: '?link=emma'. This is not an affiliate link. This is something companies do to track the amount of traffic I send to their site.
